
Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy has organised a group art exhibition of women artists to observe International Women’s Day 2025 at its National Art Gallery 2.
The exhibition titled Dipta Nayan featuring 139 artworks including paintings, prints, drawing, craft and sculptures of more than hundred artists began on Sunday.
The exhibition was inaugurated by renowned artist Naima Haque while sculptor Ivy Zaman also spoke at the inauguration ceremony held at National Art Auditorium of the BSA on the day.
The artworks from the permanent collection of the BSA featured artists including Ferdousi Priyabhashini, Laila Sharmeen, Farida Zaman, Asmita Alam Shammy, Dilara Begum Jolly, Priti Ali, Atia Islam Anne and Sulekha Chowdhury.
The exhibited artworks titled Amrita Bagan, Deshmatrikata, Purattatba, Prakitipuran, Atmasattar Rajneeti and Maa O Mukti will end on March 22.
The exhibition will reopen after the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.
