Jatiya Party on Friday expressed concern claiming that the law and order situation deteriorated in the country.

JP chairman Ghulam Muhammed Quader in a statement sent to media said the safety of ordinary people is now at serious risk.

He said incidents of murder, assault, and robbery are increasing at an alarming rate across the country, leaving citizens fearful for their lives and property.

Alongside bodies being recovered from rivers, the discovery of a dismembered body in 26 pieces near the national Eidgah ground has further intensified public anxiety, said the statement.

Referring to recent incidents, he mentioned the killing of a district judge’s son and the severe injury of his wife after miscreants entered their residence in Rajshahi.

‘Reports of such killings in newspapers every day are making us increasingly worried,’ he said.

GM Quader urged the interim government to take immediate and effective measures to improve the law and order situation and ensure the safety of ordinary citizens.
