Veteran politician and Awami League advisory council member Tofail Ahmed is now on life support at Square Hospital in Dhaka.
One of his political aids told 抖阴精品 on Sunday that Tofail was admitted to Square Hospital where he had been on life support for a week.
His condition improved a little, according to his doctors.
Tofail, also a veteran freedom fighter and former student leader, has been suffering from illness for a long time. He returned home after receiving treatment in an Indian hospital two years ago.
He became critically sick at his home in the capital a week ago and was rushed to the hospital.
Tofail was the press secretary of the country鈥檚 founding president Sheikh Mujibur Raman.
He also served as a minister during the rule of the Awami League.
