While speaking to journalists during lunch break amid the ongoing dialogue with the National Consensus Commission on Thursday, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s nayeb-e-amir Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher said that political party representatives spent times and worked hard to shape the July Charter.

‘If there is no legalised implementation procedure, all of these efforts will become meaningless.’

He added, ‘We believe promises to implement the charter alone are not enough. Without a legal foundation, this charter will become worthless. That’s why we will file a compensation lawsuit against the commission and the government if legal basis is not provided.’
