The National Sports Council on Wednesday announced a new 19-member ad-hoc committee of the Bangladesh Shooting Federation after dissolving the previous executive body.

Rezaul Maksud Jahedi, secretary of the Local Government Division, has been appointed as the president of the committee, while Roma Rouf Chowdhury and Abdus Salam Khan were named as vice-presidents.

Actress Aleya Ferdousi was appointed as the general secretary, GM Haider was named joint secretary, and Ahmed Kabir became the treasurer.

Other office bearers include Abdur Rahman, Sarwar Hossain, Imran Chowdhury, Taimur Farooq Munna, Yusuf Mohsin, Sirajul Islam Babu, Shahed Ahmed, Miti Dewan, Abdullah Salehin Ayon, and Daiyan Nafis as members, alongside one representative each from the Army, Navy, and BKSP.

The BSSF is one of the latest federations among 52 sports governing bodies in the country to establish an ad-hoc committee.

However, the Bangladesh Football Federation and Bangladesh Cricket Board have been excluded from this process. The committee for the women's sports association is yet to get one.

Ministry of youth and sports as part of the government鈥檚 reform initiative, formed a five-member search committee in September 2024 to propose an ad-hoc committee for all sports federations and associations, replacing the previous executive committees after the fall of the previous government on August 5, 2024.
