Director general of the Bangladesh Ansar and VDP Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud inaugurated the tree plantation campaign 2025 on the premises of the force鈥檚 academy in Gazipur on Wednesday.
鈥楾he importance of tree plantation activities in protecting the environment is immense,鈥� said Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud, adding, 鈥楤angladesh Ansar and VDP are not only playing an important role in ensuring security, but also in environmental conservation and social development.鈥�
He also said that such initiatives were very timely and commendable in protecting the country鈥檚 ecological balance, conserving natural resources and combating the effects of climate change.
The ceremony was also attended by additional director general of the force, Brigadier General Fida Mahmud; Colonel Md Faisal Ahmed Bhuiyan; and deputy commandant and commandant (acting) Mohammad Nurul Absar, among others.
