The Premier Bank PLC on Sunday marked its 26th anniversary, celebrating a remarkable journey under a theme of ‘Banking for Greater Good,’ said a press release.

The event was inaugurated by chairman Arifur Rahman at the bank’s head office at Banani in the capital.


Among others, independent director and audit committee chairman Md Forkan Hossain, independent director and executive committee chairman Syed Faridul Islam, independent director and risk management committee chairman Md Sazzad Hossain, independent director Sheikh Morshed Jahan and independent director and Premier Bank Securities chairman M Nurul Alam were present.

Representing the bank’s management committee were managing director and chief executive officer Mohammad Abu Jafar, deputy managing director Sayed Abul Hashem, DMD and chief credit officer Mohammad Al-Amin and DMD and retail banking division head SM Wali Ul Morshed.

In his inaugural speech, Arifur Rahman said, ‘Let’s unite as one proud Premier family and make this celebration truly meaningful! As we move ahead, let’s join hands to grow even stronger and make Premier Bank the bank of choice for everyone. I also thank our customers, patrons, regulatory bodies, media partners, and well-wishers for their relentless and continuous support across the journey.’

Syed Faridul Islam added, ‘For Premier Bank, ‘Greater Good’ reflects our unwavering commitment to create value that touches lives not only for our customers, but also for our people, our communities, and our beloved Bangladesh.’
