Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution as the national standards organisation has taken various programmes on the occasion of World Standards Day 2025 today.

As part of this, BSTI has taken the initiative to organise discussion and promotional activities at the head office as well as at the divisional and district offices, said a press release.


Arrangements have been made to send short messages to various mobile phones of BTRC. In addition, banners, festoons and placards have been put up at various important places in the capital.

On the occasion of the day, a discussion will be held at Krishibid Institution Bangladesh, Dhaka at 10:30am.

The main speaker will be Md Obaidur Rahman, secretary of the Ministry of Industries, while Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, chairman and CEO of PRAN-RFL Group; Md Alamgir, secretary general of FBCCE; and AHM Shafiquzzaman, president of Consumers Association of Bangladesh

The keynote paper will be presented by Professor Abdul Hasib Chowdhury, pro-vice-chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.

The discussion meeting will be chaired and welcomed by SM Ferdous Alam, director general of BSTI.  

The World Standards Day will be celebrated worldwide to create awareness about the quality of products and services.

The theme of this year’s World Standards Day is ‘A Shared vision for a better world’.
