Mutual Trust Bank PLC has been named Bangladesh’s ‘Best Bank for Diversity and Inclusion’ by Euromoney for the fourth consecutive year, said a press release.
In 2024, MTB launched Shreya platform, supporting over 800 female employees through career development, gender equity initiatives and addressing workplace challenges. This initiative led to policy upgrades, including miscarriage leave and strengthened grievance redressed mechanisms through harassment assistance committee and female employee assistance committee.
MTB’s board includes 25 per cent female representation. It has also partnered with Speed and Creative IT through Swanirbhar Angona Project, empowering women in teaching and digital marketing.
Through MTB Angona platform, the bank has served over 81,202 women in 2024, while expanding agent banking to 184 centres, conducting 267 rural awareness programs on financial literacy and inclusion, the release said.
