Rashida Banu joined Bangladesh General Insurance Company PLC as additional managing director on August 3, said a press release.
Prior to her joining BGIC, she served at Reliance Insurance Limited as deputy managing director.
However, she started her career at BGIC.
She obtained an MSS from the University of Dhaka. She also completed DMII from Malaysian Insurance Institute and ACII from the Chartered Insurance Institute, London.
She is a chartered insurer of CII, UK and a senior associate CIP of ANZIF, Australia.
She has obtained advanced and basic training courses on non-life from Swiss Insurance Training Centre, Switzerland.
