
Midland Bank PLC on Saturday held its Half-Yearly Business Conference 2025 at its premises in the capital, said a press release.
The conference was divided into two segments. Managing director and chief executive officer Md Ahsan-uz Zaman inaugurated the conference as chief guest and presided over the sessions.
Deputy managing director and CRO Md Zahid Hossain was also present.
Chairman Md Ahsan Khan Chowdhury attended the evening segment of the conference.
CFO Didarul Islam presented the overall business performance of the bank.
In the morning segment, retail distribution division head and chief bancassurance officer Md Rashed Akter, along with Area Heads, Cluster Heads, Head of Branches and Sub-Branches, head of branch sme and retail business, head of agent banking, head of digital financial services, head of prd and head of cards participated in the conference and shared their analysis through presentations and demonstrations.
Rafikul Hasan and Kazi Kamal Hossain of ID and NRB presented ID and NRB business performance. The business performance of the bank鈥檚 branches, sub-branches, Islami banking, agent banking, retail sales, cards and ID and NRB was reviewed, yearly budget for 2025 was assessed and strategies for achieving the budget were discussed.
In the evening segment, institutional banking head Md Javed Tarek Khan, along with all unit heads and relationship managers, head of SME and head of treasury division, were present and made presentations.
The business performance of institutional banking units, SME, treasury and NRB Banking was reviewed, the yearly budget for 2025 was assessed and strategies for achieving the budget were discussed.
A prize-giving ceremony was also held at the end of both segments of the conference. The bank distributed crests, certificates, and cash rewards among the top performers in different categories.
