Southeast Bank PLC and Khulna University have partnered to launch co-branded credit cards and prepaid cards, said a press release.
SEBPLC senior executive vice-president and cards head Md Abdus Sabur Khan and KU pro-vice chancellor Md Harunor Rashid Khan, of Khulna University signed an agreement in this regard at the university premises on July 2.
Under the agreement, the bank has launched co-branded credit cards for faculty members and staffs and co-branded prepaid cards for students of Khulna University.
Md Harunor Rashid Khan, as chief guest, expressed optimism that the partnership would open up new opportunities for technology-based financial inclusion and access to modern banking services for the university community.
From SEBPLC, SEVP and human resources division head Bilkis Jahan, senior vice-president and Khulna branch head Muhammad Munirul Islam, vice-president and Sir Iqbal Road branch head Md Abdul Haye, senior assistant vice-president Md Shamsur Rahman Bhuiyan and Khulna card centre in-charge Md Sabbir Khan were in attendance.
From Khulna University, registrar (current charge) SM Mahbubur Rahman, student affairs director Md Nazmus Sadat, transport pool director Md Enamul Kabir, international affairs director Md Ashiqur Rahman and finance and accounts division director (current charge) Abu Saleh Md Parvez were present.
