Electric vehicle manufacturer BYD has recently launched a campaign programme to provide local drivers with training on new energy vehicles, which received huge response, said a press release.
The registration process for this training programme was kicked off on January 3. Afterwards, about 700 drivers registered for the programme, it said.
Imtiaz Nawsher, chief marketing officer of BYD Bangladesh, said, ‘For the first time in Bangladesh, any brand has taken such an initiative to train drivers and create awareness among the driver community about the nitty-gritties of NEV driving.’
‘We are overwhelmed with the response, which is indicative of the growing demands of NEV vehicles in the country. We are delighted to bring such an initiative to the country,’ he added.
After registrations are complete, training will be held in batches every Friday from January 10 to February 14.
