Bangladesh Under-19 women鈥檚 hockey team ended their pool campaign in the Women鈥檚 Junior Asia Cup on a miserable note as they lost all their Pool A games and will now fight for the ninth-10th place decider against Sri Lanka in Muscat, Oman, on Saturday.

Bangladesh, who are competing in this competition for the first time, are bottom of the pool without any points in the five-team pool table of the ninth edition of this tournament, which is the qualifying tournament of the Women鈥檚 FIH Hockey Junior World Cup 2025.

In four games, Bangladesh have conceded a staggering number of 40 goals and scored only four. They began their campaign with a 19-0 loss against China before losing to holders India 13-1, Thailand 2-1, and Malaysia 6-1 goals.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka are placed fifth in Pool B, lost to Japan 15-0, South Korea 10-0, Hong Kong 2-0, and Chinese Taipei 5-0 goals.

As the top five teams from this tournament will qualify for the upcoming Junior World Cup, to be held in Santiago, Chile, in 2025, Bangladesh鈥檚 hopes were dashed well before their pool final game against Malaysia on Wednesday.
