Argentine ambassador to Bangladesh Marcelo Carlos Sessa on Tuesday met with Jamaat-e-Islami amir Shafiqur Rahman at his office in the Dhaka鈥檚 Bashundhara area.
During the meeting, they discussed the overall situation in Bangladesh and bilateral relations, investment, international relations and other issues of mutual interest between Bangladesh and Argentina.
The envoy reiterated Argentina鈥檚 strong support for Bangladesh. They also expressed hope that bilateral economic relations and development between the two countries will continue to grow.
At the beginning of the meeting, he inquired about the health of amir-e-Jamaat Shafiqur Rahman and wished him good health.
The meeting was attended by assistant secretary-general Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair and the party chief鈥檚 foreign affairs adviser Professor Mahmudul Hasan.
