Former Bashundhara Kings coach Valeriu Tita has filed a complaint with FIFA against his former employers concerning unpaid salaries, bonuses, and flight tickets.

The 59-year-old Romanian was released from his job in June 2025 after guiding the five-time champions to third in last season’s Bangladesh Premier League following their Challenge Cup and Federation Cup titles.

‘The complaint is about unpaid salaries of three months’, bonuses and flight tickets,’ Tita told the media on Wednesday.

He also mentioned that Khalil Chakroun, the former Tunisian fitness coach of the Kings, has lodged a similar complaint with FIFA regarding unpaid dues.

‘Trainer Khalil is also with me. We waited for a long time, but Kings did not pay us. So, we were forced to complain to FIFA,’ he said.

Currently the coach of Al-Seeb Club of Oman, Tita, also expressed his dissatisfaction over the sudden downfall of Kings.

‘The conditions of Kings were top before we joined there, but when we arrived there were only problems. No players, no money, no bonus, nothing, and with all of this we won two trophies. Yet they are now recruiting new players and new staff. Everything is strange,’ Tita exclaimed.

However, Kings appointed Brazilian coach Sergio Farias last week for the forthcoming season alongside signing UK-based footballer Cuba Mitchell and some other foreigners and local players ahead of the AFC Challenge League.
