
Bangladesh national team forward Krishna Rani Sarkar returned to competitive football in style, scoring a brace for Transport United in an 8-0 victory against U-17 Gelephu Academy in the Bhutan Women’s Football League on Monday.
Ten players from Bangladesh, including Krishna, are taking part in the Bhutan Women’s League this year.
The 24-year-old scored her first goal in the 63rd minute with a powerful left-footed shot after dribbling past two defenders, and her second came in the 78th minute, capitalising on a rebound from the goalkeeper.
Apart from Krishna, defender Masura Parveen and goalkeeper Rupna Chakma are also featuring for Transport United.
Other players such as Sabina Khatun, Maria Manda, and Sanjida Akter are taking part in the tournament.
