Taskin Ahmed was roped in by the Sharjah Warriorz to play in the upcoming season of the ILT20 as the auction was held on Wednesday in Dubai.聽
The Bangladesh pacer was sold at 80,000 USD, which was his base price. Former Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan was also sold at his base price of 40,000 USD to play for MI Emirates.聽
Taskin played three matches for Colombo Strikers in the 2024 LPL, which was his only appearance in a foreign franchise-based league so far.聽
However, the fourth season of the ILT20 is supposed to clash with the schedule of the BPL.聽
The ILT20, to be held in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah, begins on December 2 and will run until January 4, 2026.
The next edition of the BPL is slotted between December and January next year. In that case, Taskin can be given a partial NOC by the BCB.
