Bangladesh will take on Pakistan in their third and final Super Four game of the Asia Cup Dubai International Stadium on Thursday.
The game could be a potential semi-final depending on the outcome of Bangladesh’s game against India on Wednesday.
The match will begin at 8:30pm Bangladesh Standard Time, and T Sports will telecast it live.
Pakistan currently have two points from two matches, while Bangladesh, having secured two points from their victory over Sri Lanka in their opening Super Four match, could enter today’s game with four points if they manage to defeat India.
Bangladesh will also have an edge over Pakistan in terms of recent results, as they won the three-match series by 2-1 in July.
However, the scheduling isn’t favourable for Bangladesh, as they have to play back-to-back matches in extreme heat.
Head coach Phil Simmons also pointed it out, saying, ‘It is extremely difficult to play back-to-back T20 matches, back-to-back ODIs. So it’s not a nice thing, but again, we are prepared; we have trained really hard.’
And I think the guys are fit enough to handle the back-to-back games. But it is not a fair thing for any team to have to play back-to-back T20s. It’s a lot more difficult than people seem to think,’ he added.
