Liton Das, who was dropped from the Bangladesh national side for the Champions Trophy, was among others who joined the camp for the Bangla Tigers, which started at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Sunday.

Sohel Islam, one of the coaches conducting the camp, said that the camp would run until February 25 if the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League starts on time. Otherwise, the camp will be extended.

‘We’ve discussed with Liton his lackings in the white balls,’ Sohel told reporters on Sunday. ‘We’ve talked about different things, on how to make those smooth. These were smooth before, but now he’s been struggling temporarily.

‘I think he needs some adjustments. This can happen for various reasons. We’ve found that and are trying to work on it accordingly,’ added the experienced coach.

Sohel also emphasised on the communication, which will help them to conduct this type of camp.

‘It’s important,’ said Sohel. ‘The coaches who are with Tigers or the HP team try to be on the same line with the national coaching panel. What they want from a cricketer in the national team, what works we will do here, and how much improvement we will make—we discuss these things.’

Besides Liton, Afif Hossain, Shamim Hossain, Mominul Haque, Nayeem Hasan, Hasan Murad, Shadman Islam, Ripon Mondol, Mominul Haque, and Mahidul Islam joined the camp. Mahedi Hasan and Shoriful Islam are expected to join them later.

The coach of the recently crowned BPL champions Fortune Barishal, Mizanur Rahman, Najmul Islam, and Tarek Aziz are also working with the cricketers beside Sohel.

In addition to Sohel, the coach of the newly crowned BPL champions Fortune Barishal, Mizanur Rahman, Najmul Islam, and Tarek Aziz are working with the cricketers.
