A Rajshahi court on Thursday remanded again Limon Mia, the lone accused of murder of Rajshahi metropolitan sessions judge Mohammad Abdur Rahman’s teen Tawsif Rahman, in police custody for five days for interrogation.
Rajshahi metropolitan magistrate Md Ashikur Rahman passed the order after police produced Limon before the court with a seven-day remand plea, said public prosecutor Ali Ashraf Masum.
No lawyer represented Limon as the Rajshahi Bar Association leaders earlier announced that none of them would assist the accused in the case.
On November 13, Limon Mia, 35, son of HM Solaiman Shahid of Modonerpara village at Fulchhari in Gaibandha, reportedly entered the judge’s house, stabbed his son to death and injured his wife.
Limon was also injured in the incident and was admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where police arrested him.
A day after, judge Abdur Rahman filed a murder case with the Rajpara police station against Limon.
On November 15, the Rajshahi Metropolitan Magistrate Court remanded Limon in police custody for five days.
