A young woman died from her injury after her scarf got entangled with the wheels of an easy-bike in Khulna city on Sunday.
The deceased Suraiya, 25, is the daughter of Md Atiar Molla of Hitia village under Abhaynagar upazila of Jashore.
Police and local sources said the accident occurred at Sherer Mor area of Boyra Bazar in the morning when Suraiya was returning home after receiving treatment at Khulna Medical College Hospital.
Her scarf suddenly got tangled with the wheels of the easy-bike they were riding, causing her to fall off the vehicle and sustain a severe neck injury.
Locals rescued her and rushed her to KMCH where the on-duty doctor declared her dead.
Officer-in-charge of Sonadanga model police station Kabir Hossain said that the body was sent to KMCH morgue for autopsy and preparations are underway to file a case in this connection.
