United for the Victims of Enforced Disappearances, Voice of Enforced Disappeared Persons, ODHIKAR, and families of victims of enforced disappearance held a protest rally in front of the court on Wednesday morning, demanding that the authorities should stop providing privileges to the accused instead of ensuring justice.

ODHIKAR directors Nasiruddin Ela, Taskin Fahmina, and Syeda Samia Sultana Nipa, wife of Khaled Hossain Sohel who had remained missing since 2013, among others, spoke at the event.


Fahmina said that the government provided VIP facilities to the murderer who were involved in killing and enforced disappearance of many people during the ousted Awami League regime.

聽They stressed that the government should prove that the law is equal for all and stop providing privileges to the murderers.
