
Daffodil International University chairman Md Sabur Khan said that there was a great lack of unity in our society. Due to lack of unity, society and the country were not able to move forward.
He made the comments while speaking as the guest of honour at a reception ceremony for students who achieved GPA-5 in SSC, organised by the monthly education magazine ‘Bishvabidyalaya Porikrama’ at the Diploma Engineers Institute in Kakrailof Dhaka on Monday, said a press release on Tuesday.Â
Bangladesh Nationalist Party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was present as the chief guest.
Sabur Khan, also the chairman of Bangladesh Private University Association, called upon the youth to maintain unity and deep friendship between them.
He urged the students to avoid foreign orientation and become entrepreneurs instead of becoming BCS cadre. ‘Try to set career focus and life goals through creativity, along with increasing communication skills to bring the world into their hands and keep pace with the outside world.’
BNP training affairs secretary Rasheda Begum Hira chaired the event, moderated by managing editor of Bishvabidyalaya Porikrama Mobarak Hossain.
The programme was also addressed by BNP social welfare affairs secretary Kamruzzaman Ratan, chief editor of Bishvabidyalaya Porikrama Harun Or Rashid, educationists MA Sajjad, Jamirul Akhter, Diploma Engineers Institute convener Kabir Hossain, member secretary Kazi Shawkat Hossain, Doctors Association’s Dhaka Metropolitan North Professor Sarkar Mahbub Ahmed Shamim, Munshiganj BNP member Mosharraf Hossain and other meritorious students.
