The Criminal Investigation Department on Monday arrested a couple accused of producing and promoting pornographic content through online platforms.
The arrested are Bristi and Azim, said CID special superintendent of police (media) Jasim Uddin Khan.
The CID officer told 抖阴精品 that the couple was arrested at a house in Madhya Para area of Bandarban town in the early morning.
鈥楳ore details in this regard will be informed in a press brief scheduled to be held at the Media Center of CID Headquarters in the capital today,鈥� he added.
The couple recently drew public attention following a report published by an online news portal.
The report described how they had entered the global adult film industry and allegedly produced and promoted pornography contents.
They were allegedly involved in recruitment of new pornography content creators also.
Producing, selling and distributing pornography is a criminal and punishable offence in Bangladesh under the Pornography Control Act, 2012.
