The Bangladesh Olympiadians Club held the award-giving ceremony of the festival, Mathematician 2025, at the AF Mujibur Rahman Mathematics Building of Dhaka University on Friday.
Vice-chancellor of Pirojpur University of Science and Technology and president of Bangladesh Mathematics Association, Professor Md Shahidul Islam was present as the chief guest ceremony and handed over the awards to the winners, said a press release.
Professor Shahidul Islam said, 鈥業 request the parents to always trust your children. Be by their side and give them hope and courage so that they can touch the sky. Your children can do many good things.鈥�
He also urged the students to refrain from excessive use of mobile phones.
Presided over by Md Rezaul Islam Roni, convener of the 鈥楳athematician 2025鈥� organising committee, the event was was attended by Professor Mohammad Ferdous, chairman of the department of applied mathematics, Dhaka University, and Professor Mohammad Babul Hasan, department of Mathematics.
Sixty young mathematicians were awarded prizes in different categories and segments in the ceremony.
