
The Anti-Corruption Commission on Thursday approved two cases against former minister for environment, forest and climate change Saber Hossain Chowdhury and his wife Rehana Chowdhury over allegations of amassing illegal assets.
ACC director general (prevention) Akhtar Hossain at a press briefing said that a case was approved against Saber Hossain Chowdhury for amassing assets worth Tk 12 crore beyond his known sources of income.
Another case was approved against Saber鈥檚 wife Rehana Chowdhury for amassing asset worth Tk聽26 crore.
Saber Hossain was a former Awami League lawmaker from the Dhaka-9 constituency.
