One hundred and sixty-six students and teachers of departments under the arts faculty of Dhaka University on Tuesday received dean鈥檚 awards in recognition of their outstanding academic results and contribution to research. Ten of them are teachers.
The students of聽 2021, 2022, and 2023 batches were given the awards at the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building.
Former dean of arts, Professor Sadrul Amin, also honorary professor at the English department, attended as the dean鈥檚 award speaker. The vice-chancellor, Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan, spoke as chief guest.
The dean of arts, Professor Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman Khan, delivered the welcome speech.
