The Bangladesh Coast Guard and the Bangladesh Navy rescued 21 people, including women and children, conducting a joint operation in the hills of Baharchhara under Teknaf in Cox鈥檚 Bazar on Wednesday night.

In a press release on Thursday, the BCG media officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haq said that the people were held captive in a house adjacent to Karachipara at Baharchhara for the purpose of trafficking to Malaysia by sea.
