The National Pay Commission 2025 on Monday asked all to provide opinions to help the commission prepare a ‘reasonable and effective’ pay structure for the public officials and employees.

The pay commission led by former finance secretary Zakir Ahmed Khan asked people to visit the web site — the paycommission2025.gov.bd — and fill in a designated set of questionnaires out of four.

One set is designated for public officials and another one is for general public. Two other sets are designated for institutions and associations.

The National Pay Commission, which was formed on July 27, requested people to submit their opinions by October 15.

The previous pay commission, headed by former Bangladesh Bank governor Mohammed Farashuddin, was appointed in November 2013.

The Awami League-led regime that was ousted on August 5, 2024, in a mass uprising implemented the major recommendations of the previous pay commission in two phases — salary hike in July 2015 and other benefits in July 2016.
