The Directorate General of Health Services on Saturday reported that 382 new dengue patients were hospitalised across the country in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of dengue cases this year to 38,948.
Of the new cases, 78 were reported in Barishal division (outside city corporation), 76 in Chattogram division (outside CC), 66 in Dhaka division (outside CC), 58 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 71 in Dhaka South City Corporation, five in Khulna division (outside CC), 21 in Mymensingh division (outside CC) and seven in Rajshahi division (outside CC).
Meanwhile, a total of 421 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals in the past 24 hours.
No new dengue-related deaths were reported in the past 24 hours. The total number of fatalities from dengue this year remains 167.
In 2024, 1,01,214 people were infected with dengue, and 575 died.
