
A partial solar eclipse will occur on Sunday, but it will not be visible from Bangladesh.
Inter-Services Public Relations in a press release on Thursday said that according to Bangladesh Standard Time, the eclipse would begin at 11:29:48pm on Sunday, reach its maximum phase at 1:41:54am on Monday and end at 3:53:36am.
It added that the duration of the eclipse would be about 4 hours and 24 minutes.
The release said that the eclipse would be visible from New Zealand, eastern Melanesia, southern Polynesia and western Antarctica.
According to the description of the central path of the eclipse, it will begin at 5:53:17am local time in the South Pacific Ocean northeast of Samoa Islands, United States. The maximum phase will be seen at 10:13:39am southwest of Dumont d鈥橴rville Weather Station in Antarctica. The eclipse will end at 5:48:38pm northwest of Alexander Island in Antarctica.
ISPR further informed that the maximum magnitude of the solar eclipse would be 0.855.
