A condolence meeting on left politician and author Badruddin Umar will be held at 3:00pm today at Bangla Academy in the capital Dhaka.
Badruddin Umar, who was president of the Jatiya Mukti Council, died at a hospital in the capital Dhaka on September 7 at the age of 93.
The Badruddin Umar Shoksabha Jatiya Committee will hold the meeting at the Abdul Karim Sahitya Bisharad auditorium of the academy.
The convener of the committee, Faiezul Hakim, also secretary of the Jatiya Mukti Council, will chair the event.
Eminent politicians, academics and professionals will speak at the commemoration meeting, said a press release.
