
The Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission on Monday submitted its 2024 annual report to president Mohammed Shahabuddin at Bangabhaban in Dhaka.
A 12-member delegation of the commission, led by Appellate Division judge and commission chairman Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury, handed over the report to the president in the afternoon.
According to a commission member present in the meeting, the president expressed satisfaction with the commission’s activities over the past year and hoped that it would continue to improve its performance in the coming years.
Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury briefed the president on the commission’s key activities, including the appointment of subordinate court judges and other administrative developments.
The delegation included High Court judges—Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Fatema Najib, attorney general Md Asaduzzaman, public administration ministry’ senior secretary Md Mokhlesur Rahman, finance secretary Md Khairuzzaman Mozumder, law secretary (in charge) Md Liakat Ali, Dhaka University’s law faculty’ acting dean Mohammad Ikramul Haque, Supreme Court registrar general Muhammad Habibur Rahman Siddique, Dhaka district and sessions judge Md Rafiul Islam, commission secretary and district judge AJM Al Masud, and exam controller and district judge Ashikuzzaman.
