The closing workshop of the project titled Development of Short-duration Cold-tolerant Rice Varieties for Haor Areas of Bangladesh was held at the Training Complex鈥檚 conference room of Bangladesh Rice Research Institute in Gazipur on Wednesday.
The workshop was jointly organised by the International Rice Research Institute, The Bangladesh Rice Research Institute and The Agricultural Research Foundation, said a press release.
BRRI director general Mohammad Khalequazzaman was present as chief guest at the event while director, research, Md Rafiqul Islam presided over it.
Executive director of KGF Nathu Ram Sarker, BRRI director for administration and common service Munnujan Khanam and director for crops and natural resources of KGF Md Akkas Ali were present as special guests.
