THE police recovered the floating body of a seven-year-old child from Bahadurpur Arokandi village of Bheramara upazila in Kushtia on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Md Ayman, son of Abdul Momin, a resident of the same village in the upazila.
Quoting local people, Bheramara police station officer-in-charge Abdur Rab said that Ayman went to the school on Thursday morning and did not return home. He had been missing since then.
A group of people on Friday found him floating on the water of a pond and informed the police of the matter, the police official said.
A team of the police recovered the body from the spot and handed it over to the deceased鈥檚 family members without autopsy, as they had no complaint in this connection, the OC added.
