Some teachers from Chittagong, Jahangirnagar, Jagannath and Islamic universities paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh University Grants Commission chairman Professor SMA Faiz regarding the research sub-project of the Higher Education Acceleration and Transformation.
The meeting was held at the UGC on Monday, said a press release on Tuesday,
Professor Mohammad Tanzimuddin Khan, in-charge of the UGC鈥檚 planning and development, was present at the meeting.
At the meeting, the teachers presented some of their observations and specific demands regarding the research proposal under the HEAT project.
The commission authorities assured that they would take action accordingly after examining the observations and demands of the teachers.
Jahangirnagar University Professor Salequl Islam, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology Professor Md Jahangir Alam and Professor Md Saiful Islam and Islamic University Professor Golam Mawla, among others, were present at the meeting.
It is to be noted that the HEAT project is being run with the joint funding from the Government of Bangladesh and the World Bank. UGC is implementing this project.
