
The 185th special basic training course organised for health cadres of Bangladesh Civil Service has recently been inaugurated at Bangladesh Rural Development Academy in Cumilla.
The inauguration ceremony of this two-month training course was presided over by BARD project director Ranjan Kumar Guha, said a press release on Sunday.
He said that from the basic training course, government officials got the opportunity to gain clear and practical knowledge about government rules and regulations, financial rules and regulations.
‘The trainees also get a proper idea about what to do for the people and their availability as government employees,’ he said, adding, ‘Through the successful completion of this training course, later promotion and permanent employment in government service is possible. Therefore, basic training is of special importance.’
 Dr Ali Nur Mohammad Bashir Ahmed, civil surgeon, Cumilla; and Dr Md Masud Parvez, director, Cumilla Medical College Hospital were present as guests of honour at the inaugural ceremony.
Abdullah Al Mamun, training director, BARD, also delivered a speech at the inaugural ceremony.
The overall content of the course was informed to the trainees by the course director of the course, Benazir Ahmed, joint director for esearch, BARD.
Rakhi Nandi, deputy director, BARD, is serving as associate course director of the course. In addition, Azma Mahmuda, joint director for training, BARD, will serve as the coordinator of the course.
Fifty officers of health cadres are participating in the training course.
