
The advisory and convening committees of the Bangladesh Water Development Board Engineers’ Association have recently been formed.
The committees have been formed with a 31-member conveners and a 7-member advisory council, said a press release on Wednesday.
The committee made chief engineer of BWDB central region, Dhaka, Engineer Md Rafius Sajjad as convener; additional chief engineer, mid-western region, Faridpur, Engineer Md Shahjahan Siraj as joint convener; and superintending engineer, BWDB Training Institute, Bhagyakul, Engineer Abu Sale Mohammad Tofail Chowdhury as member secretary.Â
The main purpose of the association is to protect the fair rights and interests of the engineers of Bangladesh Water Development Board, resolve professional crises, provide policy advice, enhance skills, strengthen mutual cooperation and friendship, and play an effective role in the development of the BWDB.
On July 21, the two committees were formed as per the decision of a general meeting in the presence of engineers from different levels of the BWDB.
