
Bangladesh's interim government on Monday sent four deputy inspectors general of the police into forced retirement from jobs under the Public Service Act, 2018, citing public interest.
Public Security Division under the home ministry issued four separate gazette notifications on Monday signed by the division鈥檚 senior secretary Nasimul Gani.
The four senior police officials were Atika Islam, who was attached to the Dhaka Range DIG office; AKM Nahidul Islam, attached DIG Police Telecom, Dhaka; Md Mahbub Alam, attached to the DIG, Railway Police; and Md Monir Hossain, attached to the Industrial Police, Dhaka.
The notifications said that they would get all retirement benefits, and the order would come into effect immediately for the sake of public interest.
