The Indian Border Security Force on Friday pushed at least 21 individuals into Bangladesh through the Nakugaon border.
Of them, five males, five females and 11 children were pushed into Bangladesh in the early hours of Friday through the Nakugaon border area in Sherpur.
Receiving information about the push in, members of the 39 Border Guard Bangladesh detained them.
Lieutenant Colonel Mehedy Hasan, commanding officer of 39 BGB, said the identifications of the detainees were being verified.
He said that the BGB members were on alert to prevent any illegal activities at the border.
