The police on Wednesday recovered the bodies of a couple from their house in Shitli Fakirpara village under Porsha upazila in Naogaon.
The deceased are Abdul Hai Babu, 48, and his wife Momena Begum, 36.
According to the locals and the police, the couple had dinner and went to bed with their two daughters Tuesday night.
In the morning, one of the daughters found her mother lying on the bed unresponsive and her father hanging from the ceiling, they said.
Hearing the screams of the daughters, their neighbours rushed to the spot, found both dead, and informed the police.
Porsha police station officer-in-charge Abu Bakkar Siddique said that the police, on information, recovered the bodies and sent them to Naogaon Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
