Authorities of the University of Dhaka on Thursday called for information and evidence regarding any irregularities in teacher recruitment and promotion that might have occurred between 2009 and August 2024 under the regime of the ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina.

Following a decision by the syndicate on March 17, 2025, an investigation committee was formed to look into alleged misconduct during the period, says a press release issued by the DU public relations office.

Teachers and concerned individuals have been requested to submit any specific complaints, along with relevant documents, in writing to the committee’s member secretary, the acting registrar of the university, by July 25.

The move came after 10 months after the ouster of Sheikh Hasina amid a student-led mass uprising on August 5.
