Director general of the Fire Service and Civil Defence, Brigadier General Muhammad Jahed Kamal, at an event at its headquarters in Dhaka on Sunday said that fire service was symbol of trust and reliability.
He made the remark at the event to celebrate International Firefighters Day-2025, said a press release.
Forty-five officers and firefighters of various ranks selected from all over the country were honoured at the event.
The FSCD director Mohammad Mozammel Haque, director lieutenant colonel Mohammad Tajul Islam Chowdhury and director lieutenant colonel MA Azad Anwar, among others, were present at the event.
