Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia will return to Dhaka from London on Tuesday, instead of the previously announced Monday.
In a late-night statement on Saturday, the BNP Media Cell confirmed that a special aircraft鈥攁n air ambulance鈥攑rovided by the Amir of Qatar, will depart from London with the BNP chief on Monday.
Quoting BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, the media cell stated that the aircraft is expected to arrive in Dhaka on Tuesday.
The exact arrival time will be announced once it has been finalised, the statement added.
Earlier in the evening, Mirza Fakhrul held a press briefing at the party鈥檚 Gulshan office, where he outlined the party鈥檚 preparations to ensure a disciplined reception for Begum Khaleda Zia, who had originally been scheduled to return on Monday.
He stated that the BNP leader would travel on a special aircraft鈥攖he Qatar Royal Ambulance she used on her previous journey from Dhaka to London鈥攁lthough initial arrangements had been made for her to return on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight scheduled to land at 11:00am on Monday.
