
A discussion was held in Tangail on Saturday to pay homage to Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani.
Speakers said that Maulana Bhasani, popularly known as the 鈥榣eader of the oppressed, was the most charismatic and influential leader of the then Bengal.
Ministry of Cultural Affairs and Department of Public Libraries jointly organised the programme at district government public library in Tangail.
The guests discussed various aspects of the life of Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani.
Students from various universities and readers who were present in the event asked different questions about Maulana Bhasani, and the guests answered to their questions.
Director general of the Department of Public Libraries Manish Chakma was present as chief guest while additional deputy commissioner Md Abdullah Al Mamun presided over the event.
Registrar of Maulana Bhasani Science and Technology University Md Touhidul Islam was present as keynote speaker at the discussion.
Assistant director of the Department of Public Libraries Md Al-Mamun Howlader moderated the event.
