The Rapid Action Battalion arrested two youths at Companiganj in Sylhet on Friday after recovering 249 bottles of Phensedyl smuggled from India.
The arrested are Alauddin, 35, a resident of Batumara Noagaon village, and Shahin Ahmed, 27, of Baram Siddipur village under Companiganj, said the RAB.
RAB-9 media officer Md Mashihur Rahman Sohel said that acting on a tip-off, a team of the RAB conducted a drive at Pashchim Elashpur village under the upazila at around 5:00am and recovered 249 bottles of Phensedyl in their possession.
鈥楢part from arresting the two youths, 1 private car and 1 motorcycle were also seized from their possession,鈥� the RAB official said, adding that the arrested were handed over to the Companiganj police station.
鈥楢 case was filed against them,鈥� mentioned Mashihur Rahman.
