Religious affairs adviser AFM Khalid Hossain at a seminar in Dhaka urged the people of the country to work together, forgetting religious and caste differences to move the country forward.

He made the urge at the UIU Islamic Seminar 2025, organised by the United International University on its campus in Dhaka on Tuesday, said a press release on Wednesday.


Expressing hope that the youth will play an important role in building a beautiful Bangladesh, he also urged to build a society in the light of the liberal moral ideals of Islam.

Sheikh Ahmadullah, chairman, As-Sunnah Foundation, and Professor Mokhter Ahmad, director, Daffodil Islamic Centre, were present as special guests at the seminar, which was presided over by vice-chancellor of UIU Professor Md Abul Kashem Mia.

Sheikh Ahmadullah advised the youth, especially university students, to learn from the life philosophy of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Discussing in detail the role and importance of Islam in building excellent relations between students and teachers, Professor Mokhter Ahmad said that everyone should observe the respect and dignity given by Islam to the student-teacher relationship.

Faculty members, students, officials, academicians, government high officials, Islamic scholars and journalists among others, were present at the seminar.
