The 17th syndicate meeting of Savar Gono Bishwabidyalay was held on Monday in the vice-chancellor鈥檚 meeting room. Vice-chancellor Professor Md Abul Hossain presided over the meeting.
In the meeting, the trustees and syndicate members of the university Abul Kasem Chowdhury, Professor of microbiology department of Jahangirnagar University, Md Anwar Khosru Parvez, treasurer of Gono Bishwabidyalay, Md Sirajul Islam, dean of science and engineering faculty, Md Karam Newaz, head of pharmacy department, Professor Moklesur Rahman Sarkar and registrar (acting) Abu Muhammad Mukammel were present.
Waliul Islam, president of the Board of Trustee and syndicate member and joint secretary of Secondary and Higher Education Division Md Mizanur Rahman participated in the syndicate meeting online, said a press release.
In the meeting, the minutes of the 16th syndicate meeting was approved at the decisions of the 26th Academic Council meeting, review of the budget for the financial year 2024-2025 and recommendations to the Board of Trustees for approval and permanent employment of teachers, officers and employees were taken.
