The waste of sacrificial animals will be removed from the streets of Dhaka city within 24 hours, said Dhaka South City Corporation mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh on Wednesday.
‘Measures have been taken for removing the waste of sacrificial animals from the cattle markets and other different areas of the captial,’ he said.
The DSCC mayor came up with the information while talking to reporters after visiting the overall preparation of Eid congregation at the National Eidgah Maidan.
Claiming that the DSCC was fully capable of removing waste, Taposh said already 15 dump trucks having 10 ton capacity and 10 pay-loaders had been included and the process to add 15 more trucks was underway.
He also hoped that they would be able to implement the work more smoothly.
